About the Presenters
Merrill Herman, M.D.is Director of the Addiction
Psychiatry Fellowship, Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and
Associate Director of Psychiatry, Division of Substance Abuse
Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center.
Richard Tucker, C.A.S.A.C. has been sober for
11 years after a lengthy struggle with mental illness and
substance abuse. Now a certified alcohol and substance
abuse counselor, he works at Lexington Center and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Ralph Inglese has had hope restored. Support, medication
and therapy have helped his recovery from
long undiagnosed social anxiety disorder, OCPD and
depression that led to substance abuse and homelessness.
